------------ Advanced Series ------------ Designed to teach you how to handle a wider range of wind conditions and work on jumping and riding swells. These lessons can be combined and are often used as the basis of a 5- to 7-day program. I will kiteboard with you to teach and demonstrate on the water. Controlled Jumps You will learn to generate a predictable amount of power for a clean jump and a soft, controlled landing. We cover the theory and the realities of jumping and teach you to have fun in the air. Generating More Power Increase your speed and airtime on those light wind days. This lesson will help you have a good day when others are bumming out (or swimming in) because of light wind. Kiteboarding in Radical Winds You will learn to cut through the big gusts and stay under control in gnarly conditions. This lesson can prepare you for the unexpected and reduce the chance of injury in sudden gusts. Working with Big Swells You will learn to use the swell of the Columbia as giant ramps leading to the sky and steep slopes to turn on and surf down. Downwinders Downwinder Service is offered for advanced kiteboarders who would like to kiteboard with a local pro. We can escape the crowds and enjoy some of the best kiteboarding in the Pacific Northwest. Riding and Jibing Directional Kiteboards Learning to ride and turn a small surf board will open up the other half of kiteboarding for you. You will be able have more fun riding waves and enjoy riding in less wind. Coaching and Problem Solving If you want to improve some part of your kiteboarding or just get general coaching. I can work with you to identify and overcome difficulties and help you have more fun kiteboarding. Ride with Mark The fast easy way onto the water for experienced riders. You can use your equipment or my equipment. I can provide you with a ProMotion wetsuit, Dakine harness, Gath helmet, Cabrinha kite, and Lightwave board. I will help you select the appropriate kite size and help you rig it. We will cut up wind and ride the bigger swells and stronger winds sweeping down from Swell City. I will kite alongside you to provide support. |
